Important Note
Any imaging order that requires contrast should state that the patient needs recent eGFR / renal function results. If recent results are not available, new laboratory testing may need to be ordered first to determine suitability and safety for contrast use.
MRI
MRI uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of soft tissues, joints, the brain, spine, and internal organs.
CT Scan
CT uses X-ray technology and computer processing to create detailed cross-sectional images that help evaluate bones, organs, injuries, and internal problems.
X-Ray
X-ray imaging is commonly used to evaluate fractures, joint issues, chest concerns, arthritis-related changes, and other structural findings.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound uses sound waves rather than radiation to evaluate abdominal, pelvic, vascular, obstetric, and soft-tissue concerns.
PET Scan
PET imaging helps assess metabolic activity and is often used in oncology and other selected diagnostic workups, sometimes together with CT.
Mammogram
Mammography is specialized breast imaging used for screening and diagnostic breast evaluation.
DEXA Scan
DEXA measures bone density and helps assess osteoporosis risk, bone loss, and fracture risk.
EKG
An EKG records the electrical activity of the heart and may help evaluate rhythm concerns and selected cardiac symptoms.
Lab Orders
Lab orders allow blood, urine, or other testing to support screening, diagnostic workup, and follow-up monitoring when medically appropriate.
